“When God’s people intercede, God intervenes”

 

PRAYER REQUESTS

Legacy’s team of intercessors comes together to pray through conference calls, written communications, and face-time sessions. Their purpose involves standing in the gap for people, communities, or situations; asking God to intervene, provide guidance, healing, protection, or support to those who need it.

​

 1 Timothy 2:1-3 “First of all, then, I ask that supplications, prayers and petitions and thanksgiving be offered to everyone for kings and for all in authority, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all devotion and dignity. This is good and pleasing to God our Savior.”

​

Under the leadership and guidance of Princess Kemp, Legacy’s intercessory team fulfills prayer requests as an act of love and compassion, where the intercessor is acting as a mediator, asking God to fulfill his purposes for others.

The team is rooted in the belief that God listens to and responds to prayers, and that praying for others is a powerful way to support and bless them.

​

  Philippians 4:6 “Have no anxiety at all, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving make your request known to God.”

​

The intercessory team also plays a vital role in preparing the way, clearing obstacles, and discerning the will of God. Their lives are dedicated to prayer, both individually and collectively, and everything they do is inspired by the Holy Spirit.

 

    Matthew 7:7-9 “Ask and it will be given you, seek and you will find, 

 knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks find, and to him who knocks be opened.”

SAFETY IN NUMBERS

God set a precedent when He sent Moses and Aaron together to face Pharaoh.  Independence can create an unsafe place because we are not always able to see or discern the will of GOD by ourselves.  The Intercessory team moves and pray as a team in order to provide safety and protection to all members of the body.  Each person has something unique to offer based on the gifts the Lord has given, enabling them to function as a body with many parts.

    Mark 11:24 “Therefore I tell you, all that you ask for in prayer, 

  believe that you will receive it and it shall be yours.”
